townsfolk coffee COSTA RICA Herbazu - Black honey

Sale price HK$220.00

The sweetness of milk chocolate and the flavor of plum. Smooth taste and lingering soft aftertaste. Pure sweet coffee! Recommended!

This batch of coffee comes from Antonio Barrantes and his family, a famous coffee producer in the West Valley region of Costa Rica. They are the pioneers of the "Costa Rican micro-mill revolution", which has had a huge impact on specialty coffee since 2000. Since establishing their own processing plant, Elvas Micro Mill, in 2001, they have been picking, processing and drying coffee beans to produce high-quality honey coffee.

Honey processing refers to the process of removing the pulp of picked coffee beans, retaining the pectin (coffee bean pectin) without fermentation, and then drying the coffee beans. The sweetness of the pectin will be transferred to the coffee beans, giving the coffee beans a sweetness and mellow taste that is difficult to obtain with washed coffee.

Among them, the black honey treatment retains the most pectin, and the sweetness of this batch of coffee is also excellent.

About townsfolk coffee

townsfolk coffee is located in the center of Kanazawa, right in front of a lush park. Large windows offer views of the city and changing seasons.

The owner accumulated work experience in specialty coffee shops in Tokyo and Copenhagen, Denmark, and opened this store in July 2020. They only produce high-quality coffee with unique flavors, and they strive to blend the best of Japan and Denmark to deliver delicious coffee.

Scandinavian coffees tend to get the spotlight for being lightly roasted, but they excel at recognizing the potential of each coffee and creating flavors that express it in the most appealing balance possible. At townsfolk coffee, they follow Nordic roasting methods to create authentic Nordic roasted coffee with a taste that even Japanese people can easily relate to.
