New coffee has arrived from the Gatomboya Coffee Factory in Kenya’s Nyeri District. You can feel the bright and refreshing acidity and mild sweetness.

The Gatun Boya factory is a washing station affiliated to the Barichu Producers Association. The region’s Gatsuriri and Tekang brands command unrivalled quality and command high prices in Kenya, with a fair premium based on cup quality being a great reward for producers.

Gatomobya Factory is a facility for washing carefully selected coffee. In the sorting facilities, the coffee berries brought by the association members undergo depulping, fermentation, drying and other production processes. Small, carefully selected equipment essentially belongs to specific agricultural cooperatives, etc.

A few years ago, production reached an all-time high. In recent years, we have also sourced cherries from the same agricultural cooperative group, Gatuliri Agricultural Cooperative, which has also had an impact. The region’s Gatsuriri and Tekang brands command unrivalled quality and command high prices even in Kenya, with a fair premium based on cup quality being great feedback for producers.
In this way, the coffee auctioned is carefully vacuum-packed before reaching us to prevent it from getting damp during the long sea voyage.
