Wangdishan PLATE M - white porcelain
Porcelain that combines tradition and modernity
Ojiyamaware was born during the Bunsei period (1818-30) at the end of the Edo period. In 1988, the kiln that had been cut off was finally rebuilt after more than 100 years. Using unique celadon, celadon and white porcelain, and white porcelain glaze, combined with pickaxe, surface-taking, and plane techniques, the size and shape are updated to make it easier to use in daily life. The unique basic shape of porcelain combined with lightness and thinness has become a new standard for serving on the dining table.
