GLITCH Coffee COLOMBIA Popayan Santuario Red Bourbon Gold Washed
A very special lot of Bourbon micro-lot coffee beans has arrived from Santuario Farm. This farm is led by Camilo Merizalde, one of Colombia's most innovative specialty coffee producers.
Santuario Farm, located in Popayán, Colombia, was founded with the aim of modernizing the classic flavors of traditional Colombian Mild Coffee while pursuing sustainability and excellence. Today, the farm has gained international recognition for its meticulous cultivation techniques and experimental post-harvest processing methods.
These coffee beans were processed using Santuario Farm's signature Gold Washed Process:
- After harvesting, the coffee cherries are first soaked in clean water for 1 hour.
- This is followed by 96 hours of sealed fermentation.
- After pulping, the coffee beans are immersed in Mossto (a juice extracted from the coffee pulp) for up to 72 hours.
- Finally, they are carefully dried on African beds.
