Raw Sugar Roast was founded by Mr. Masashi Oda, who has accumulated many years of experience in roasting coffee shops in Japan and abroad. He and Mr. Yuya Kosakata, the head roaster who has been a barista for about 10 years, share the same philosophy and said in unison, "We hope to change the current situation in the coffee industry where career development is limited, so that baristas can have more opportunities to perform."
Founded in Tokyo in 2019. It started out as a roasted bean wholesaler and in the spring of 2021 opened a roastery near Tokyo's Haneda Airport. From the early 2000s to the present day, they have inherited a diverse coffee culture. In addition, with long-term coffee experience in Japan and overseas, we work hard every day to create flavors that we believe are truly delicious. Raw Sugar Roast's motto is to express the various cultures they have experienced around the world through coffee.
Raw Sugar Roast uses a Giesen roaster made in the Netherlands. "Improving coffee quality" has been the goal we have been pursuing since our founding. It is not only about the taste, but also about changing the concept of coffee. They respect all coffee cultures to date and are committed to inheriting them and pioneering the future. We hope that through the flavor created by Raw Sugar Roast, the delicious coffee inherited from the producers can benefit as many people as possible.
