THE COFFEESHOP

Although THE COFFEESHOP is located behind the quiet Komaba campus of the University of Tokyo, it still attracts a large number of coffee lovers, which speaks volumes about its appeal. Inside, the open space houses a large American-made roasting machine, allowing you to clearly see the coffee artisans roasting beans and making hand-drip coffee, adding to the charm.
Since its opening in 2011, THE COFFEESHOP has focused solely on roasting and brewing techniques. Store manager Daichi Hagiwara, driven by his passion for delicious coffee, applied for the position and joined in 2016, quickly winning the Roast Master Team Challenge in 2018. Here, every coffee bean is carefully selected and repeatedly cupped, allowing you to easily appreciate the layers and exquisite flavors of the coffee!
