Buku Abel is a small town located in the extremely high altitude area of southern Ethiopia. The Dega variety used in this batch is also mainly in Ethiopia Guji and An indigenous variety grown in the Sidama region.
Due to the cold climate and extremely high altitude, Coffee beans grown in Buku Abel mature very slowly and are characterized by small, hard and dense coffee seeds.
Carefully selected from ripe coffee cherries and then subjected to 96 hours of anaerobic fermentation, the coffee is characterized by its intense, fruity aroma reminiscent of blackcurrants and blueberries, as well as a roasted quality similar to cocoa nibs .
