PHILOCOFFEA 237 EL SALVADOR Santa Rosa Pacamara Natural
Santa Rosa is one of the best farms in El Salvador. This is a fantastic farm that has won numerous awards in competitions such as the Cup of Excellence and is highly regarded around the world. (2014, 2017 and 2019 COE Winner) If you look at Philocoffea's discontinued products archive, you'll see that we purchase it almost every year. The quality is stable...I also bought washed and natural colors this year.
Santa Rosa Farm is located in the far northwest of El Salvador, near the island of La Palma and close to the border with Honduras, on the slopes of El Pital, the highest peak in El Salvador.
Jorge Raul Rivera Sr. started growing coffee in the area in 1979. At the time, El Salvador was in the midst of a civil war and a lot of land was being sold at a discount, and Mr. Raúl took advantage of this to buy some land. After the war, when El Salvador was calm again, we purchased the land that would become Finca Santa Rosa, and using government subsidies for post-war reconstruction, we began growing pine trees. Initially, it took 10 years for the wood to grow to a level that could be exported, so Santa Rosa began growing pacamara (a species that originated in El Salvador) on vacant land to produce coffee. The land was left untouched for a long time due to the civil war, which helped Pacamara grow. As of now, most of the land is planted with Pacamara, except for seedlings that are being planted on a trial basis.
Mr. Raul is also a representative of the Chalatenango Regional Producers Association, providing process support and agricultural guidance to neighboring farmers and actively contributing to the local community. Q: He is qualified as a grader and has studied in the United States and is fluent in English, so he is active not only domestically but also internationally.
This year I finished it with a medium roast again, but the temperature at the end of the roast was a bit lower than last year, so the red fruit flavors were more pronounced. The aroma coming out of the brewer after brewing is sweet like baked apples. As you drink it, the relaxed sweetness of apple honey and almond chocolate spreads in your mouth. Pacamara's unique smooth, viscous liquid is so satisfying to drink. It combines sour and sweet flavors in a more pleasant way. As it cools, you can enjoy fruity flavors like apricots and cherries as well as an herbal aftertaste.
"The Salvador wine I had last year was delicious. Will you be stocking it again this year? We've been getting inquiries in the store and I'm glad it's become a tradition this time of year." This year, Raul's Pacamara Natural is just as sweet and delicious .
Even if it's your first time, give it a try.
