townsfolk coffee COLOMBIA Bodega Manos Al Grano
It has a bright sweetness like apricot and a flavor like black tea. It has clear acidity, moderate sweetness, a beautiful taste and a long aftertaste.
This is a great coffee in every way. It is full of the charm of the rare Colombian pink bourbon variety! Highly recommended.
The coffee is part of the "Bourbon Project" led by local Colombian exporter Azahar Exporting, which aims to rediscover and evaluate the charm of rare and ancient varieties in a market that currently favors certain varieties and production methods such as Geisha.
Pink Bourbon is already in very low volumes and therefore not cost effective to produce, however, by improving quality and paying extra compensation, we have created a system that encourages producers to continue producing these rare varieties.
The coffee was carefully selected from pink bourbon varieties collected in the warehouses of Manos al Grano, a non-profit organization founded in Colombia to support producers and workers.
