townsfolk coffee ETHIOPIA Arbegona

Sale price HK$130.00

It has a sweet taste like yellow peach, accompanied by the fruity aroma of blueberries, and a rich, smooth texture, as creamy as cream.
This is a batch that I carefully selected and purchased from many samples during my visit in January of this year.

Albegona is located in Sidama, currently Ethiopia's most prestigious wine region.
The terroir here is exceptional, and coffee from this region has repeatedly won awards at international tasting competitions held in Ethiopia in recent years.

The washing station here is operated by the exporter Tracon , which specializes in processing coffee cherries from local small farmers.
This batch underwent a strict natural process .

To improve quality, Tracon has established several standards, including:
— Only fully ripe cherries that have been carefully hand-selected and are of uniform ripeness are accepted.
— Encourage nearby farmers to improve their quality awareness and harvesting precision, hoping to maintain a consistently high standard every year.

During the sun-drying process, the delivered cherries will be sorted again, retaining only the fruits with ideal ripeness.
Next, it is laid out in a thin layer on an African bed, constantly turned and selected, and after about three weeks of sun exposure and drying, it reaches the ideal moisture content.

About townsfolk coffee

townsfolk coffee is located in the center of Kanazawa, right in front of a lush park. Large windows offer views of the city and changing seasons.

The owner accumulated work experience in specialty coffee shops in Tokyo and Copenhagen, Denmark, and opened this store in July 2020. They only produce high-quality coffee with unique flavors, and they strive to blend the best of Japan and Denmark to deliver delicious coffee.

Scandinavian coffees tend to get the spotlight for being lightly roasted, but they excel at recognizing the potential of each coffee and creating flavors that express it in the most appealing balance possible. At townsfolk coffee, they follow Nordic roasting methods to create authentic Nordic roasted coffee with a taste that even Japanese people can easily relate to.
