Since its establishment in May 2015, he has been growing different types of coffee on the 2-hectare farm together with his wife Rusmari Guarniso and son Cristian Andres Guarniso. The farm has 1,000 Colombian trees, 7,000 Castillo trees, 150 and 300 Geisha trees of different ages, and 1,500 Caturra trees that are six years old.

Coffee processing at Planadas Farm is a work of art, carefully refined to ensure the highest quality.

Picking: Robinson carefully ensures that cherries are picked only when fully ripe.
- Initial resting time: After harvesting, allow the cherries to rest in the tanks for 24 hours.
- Then the pulping takes place and traditional fermentation in tanks begins immediately.
∟ (Dry) Fermentation takes place in the tank without water for 36 to 40 hours.
Washing: At this point, Robinson finishes fermenting and washes the coffee.
∟Oreado (First Drain): Let the wet coffee sit overnight and drain.
Drying: The last important stage of Robinson coffee processing uses the Secadero (drying area) which is carefully covered with blue plastic.
∟Robinson spent 15 to 20 days on this process, patiently adjusting the temperature, air circulation and duration according to weather conditions to achieve the best drying effect.

∟Once the coffee parchment comes out of Secadero, Robinson will also take some time to bring it to market. Using professional techniques, dry parchment paper is left to dry for four weeks. Gently place the coffee beans to achieve optimal flavor and consistency. This period is important for stabilization and homogenization, and is a testament to Robinson’s skill and precision in coffee processing.

Harvest period:
・First period: June to August ・Second period: October to December The delicate and careful process from harvesting to drying reflects Robinson's commitment to producing high-quality coffee. Each step is designed to enhance the unique characteristics of each variety, ensuring the superior quality and flavor of Planadas Farm coffee.

About WEEKENDERS COFFEE

Remaining ancient buildings and houses in Kyoto. customs handed down. A rooted coffee culture. I believe that only with awareness and determination can we continue to protect ourselves. They are there to create another new coffee culture. It is a space created with something from one's own heart while keeping in mind the traditional Japanese look. I hope a little coffee can satisfy your five senses.

Although it is just a small front garden, the sun pours in, the rain nourishes it, the wind blows through it, and the seasons change. When following these events, it feels like no two days are the same. They also take great care with the coffee they brew while appreciating the daily changes.

Their goal is to roast coffee that is three-dimensional, sweet and sour, and has a long finish. They source and select their green beans locally, roast them to bring out their character, and use extraction techniques to create a cup of coffee.
