The biggest feature is the crepe (wrinkle) process that creates a delicate height difference on both sides of the paper. The uneven surface that you can feel when you touch it can capture more coffee particles. This unique structure allows hot water to drain out smoothly, realizing CAFEC's ideal of pouring hot water from the top at almost the same speed as extracting coffee from the bottom. This is a traditional coffee filter made from 100% wood pulp paper that was used long before abaca filters were available.
