The coffee from the Retiro de Quisaya farm is a well-balanced coffee with bright, refreshing fruit flavors reminiscent of orange and plum, as well as mild sweetness like almond and brown sugar.
The light fruity flavor makes it the perfect iced drink for the upcoming season.

The owner, Juan Luis Barrios, is the fourth generation of a coffee-producing family with a history of more than 100 years. Bourbon cherries are carefully cultivated in an ideal climate and altitude, slowly ripening to acquire their sweet taste. During the picking process, only ripe red fruits are carefully hand-picked, resulting in clean, high-quality cups. It has been selected into the Cup of Excellence many times, which shows its high quality.

Commercial cultivation began in the 1850s, and Guatemala's coffee industry has received international acclaim, with Guatemala being recognized as "the best coffee in the world" at the 1888 Paris World's Fair and the 1915 San Francisco World's Fair. The National Coffee Association of Guatemala (Anacafé) provides technical support and education to producers and shares expertise in improving quality.

Most of the coffee produced in this country is high-quality Arabica. It is carefully crafted using abundant water resources and using water washing technology. Long-established coffee farms like the Barrios family use years of expertise and ample resources to perfect and develop their growing methods over time. Many farms have their own wet mills and drying facilities to maintain high quality by strictly controlling the refining process.

Over time, this knowledge from large farms is passed on to small-scale producers and applied on their own farms. As a result, Guatemala has a rich and diverse coffee community that provides us with a great coffee experience.
