Nagasawa COFFEE is located in the suburbs of Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. The founder, Mr. Nagasawa Kazuhiro, founded this coffee shop in 2012. His entrepreneurial journey began with a volunteer activity when he participated in relief work in areas stricken by the Great East Japan Earthquake. This experience changed his outlook on life, and he began to regard "creating stores that people love" as his mission.
Mr. Nagasawa believes that to truly understand coffee, you must go to the place where the coffee is produced and cannot just rely on words and photos. His travels are not limited to the origins of coffee, but also include a deep integration with the local culture and atmosphere. This first-hand experience allowed him to incorporate more emotion and passion into his coffee shop and emphasized the importance of the first-hand experience. In addition to providing delicious coffee, Nagasawa COFFEE also focuses on providing detailed information about the coffee beans, including altitude, variety, exquisite processing methods, and flavor. However, he sticks to the principle of not providing too many details about coffee origins that he has not personally visited.
More than just a commercial entity, the coffee shop has become part of the local community, providing residents with a gathering place and the opportunity to taste delicious coffee.
